Robotics – Project Unstoppable

What is Project Unstoppable?

Project Unstoppable is a robotics learning program designed to engage youth in science technology, engineering and maths (STEM). The project started in March 2022 and concluded in September 2024.

The project is a joint initiative between project partners The Flagstaff Group, Project Bucephalus Pty Limited and Figtree High School and funding is provided as part of the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources Safer Communities Fund Round 6 – Early Intervention grant.

Building Stronger, Safer, and More Connected Communities

The objective of the grant opportunity is to build stronger, safer and more connected communities by helping young people aged 12-24 to develop the skills they need to learn and thrive. The Flagstaff Group is proud to support our participants through the LEGO robotics program as part of this initiative. Through regular learning sessions they have developed their problem solving skills and knowledge of computers and robotics.

Project Bucephalus teaches robotics to a large group of students and enters competitions both in Australian and offshore. Through Project Unstoppable, students at local high schools have been supported to engage in a range of exciting robotics activities.

Students from these local high schools have participated in the two-year robotics program:

Flagstaff participants have taken part in Project Unstoppable’s LEGO robotics program in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions throughout 2022, 2023 and 2024. The program helped to enhance their skills in problem-solving, computer use, programming, engineering, and physics. They also enjoyed the creative process of developing their own ideas and tackling challenges, all while having a great time.
