Based on Government health advice, the issue of a Public Health Order mandating the vaccination for people providing services to people with a disability and on legal advice obtained by Flagstaff, we are proposing to introduce a Flagstaff SARS-CoV-2 Vaccination Policy.

The Policy, along with accompanying Consultation Notes can be accessed using the links below.

The Public Health Order vaccine mandate for many of Flagstaff workers notwithstanding, the proposed Policy will mandate vaccination for:

  • All Flagstaff Workers (i.e. not just staff covered in the Public Health Order)
  • Supported Employees who undertake any activity in and around an environment that has an increased risk of transmission of COVID-19; and/or on a customer site where that customer requires people on the site to be vaccinated (for example ‘delivery off-siders).

Although we actively encourage everyone who can be vaccinated to do so, I point out that the vast majority of Supported Employees and all other Participants receiving any form of NDIS funded support other than supported employment will not be required to be vaccinated.

Flagstaff will appreciate any impacted Stakeholders feedback on the proposed Policy by Wednesday 08 December 2021 by completing & returning the feedback section at the bottom of the last page of the Consultation Notes.

Sincerely,

Steve Burgess
