Flagstaff’s Access2Work project aims to develop a pathway to build the work muscle of people with disability to meet their employment goals. Funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services Structural Adjustment Fund, the initiative uses different tools, training and customised technologies to support people with disability to develop their skills and reach their career goals.
At the heart of Access2Work is a ‘building capacity framework’ which guides people with disability in identifying their strengths, enhancing their skills, and boosting self-confidence whilst building the employer’s capacity and disability awareness. The program also offers job customisation, job tools, comprehensive coaching and mentoring to ensure tailored support throughout their employment journey.
“Imagine a workplace where diversity isn’t just a policy, but a vibrant reality. By offering even one day a week for someone to showcase their abilities, you can transform your business culture. Together, we can create a workforce that embraces opportunity, accessibility, and inclusion for all.”
Flagstaff Group Access2Work team
Access2Work is dedicated to helping people with disabilities, particularly those with high support needs, to investigate employment options and gain employment.
The program utilises supported employment as a core pathway to empower people with disabilities to secure jobs that are right for them.
Flagstaff’s approach is designed to gradually build participants’ capacities through a structured, supportive employment framework while expanding the capacity of employers to hire people with disability.
One of the key aims is to reshape supported employment by incorporating innovative strategies and technology to provide various levels of support, enabling individuals with disabilities to achieve employment that aligns with their career goals.
Roles are carved and customised, matching an individual’s skills with business needs.
Dive into your interests and explore the skills and job opportunities that excite you.
